There were plenty of experiences where adults choose to abandon their parents. When we ask them it's apparently because they have no time to take care the old men while going to work. This is unforgivable in morally aspect. As we know that we were raised by our parents fully by heart and we must give them back our affection. But for logical aspect, it is normal.
The best thing we can afford is taking our old parents to a nursing home. At least, there was somebody that could take care of them. But the family still has responsibility as they have helped our family problem. We have to support them in fund. Although there is no command to give the fund directly to the institution in large amount, at least we can assist to donate monthly in term of food, clothes, or money.
Alternative solution for this case is a state program to encourage people has their own savings for their retirement. This way is more securely safe than completely rely to other people, even if they are family. We never know and cannot control someone’s loyalty upon us. When we become troublesome (growing old) for them, the situation might change.
While the rest of administration cost such as building and medicine is the government’s responsibility. For we contributed to taxes during the time we were working then we have the right to be assisted by state even for a little. The government should give fund to keep the nursing home going. This program might become agenda to the state and came from the taxes they had been collecting earlier.
As conclusion, we can sum up that old people is a sentimental problem for society. If the family chooses not to take care of their parents, then the government must take control of it. However, the best thing above all solution that has been mentioned is preparing ourselves for our old times by having savings and permanent resident.
