Movies Affected Society, or Society Did?

In the modern society, sources of information are available mostly everywhere and every time. Whether TV, media mass, or inter-network now are easy to be accessed. It is not everyone who likes to read some boring paragraphs in media mass. So, the best and the most viewed information source is through movie or website. Our responds toward life are shaped eventually through some interesting plot that is rich of persuasive content you can find in movies.

A movie maker had plenty of time to design an attractive plot to bring the viewers into an imagination which supported by effects that create a programmed atmosphere. For instance, we can feel frightening atmosphere by watching horror and thriller movie, even we know it is not really exist. The scriptwriter and his crew were commanded to create this magic. A successful movie can bring people to experience themselves what the movie's actors expressed through the screen. That's why sometimes we want to be a superhero, an agent, or a doctor right after watched some movies.

Besides, the information makers have their own view and motives to affect people to change along with the trend which is going right away. There were many evidences where governments played a role in creating media to shape society, according to the political agenda. Sometimes they use propaganda into the movie to deliver oblique objects. For example, Hollywood Superheroes are likely to use blue-red-white color in their uniform which is the colors of United States' flag. They want to create presumption that United States is the world savior, that they have a great power to influence all nations.

So, we can conclude that movies are made for some reasons further than just to be an entertainment or information source. It is a little harder to discrete the right values and others which are not. As a wise society, we must deliberate everything we would consume from a movie. Principle must become our conviction to be concerned.
